What does this hashtag and keyword converter do?

It turns a list of hashtags into a comma separated keyword list, and does the opposite too: it takes keywords separated by commas or line breaks and turns them into hashtags ready to publish. It is the missing step when you prepare a post: the caption copy uses keywords, the tag field uses hashtags, and nobody wants to retype the same list twice by hand.

Everything happens in your browser: the text is never sent to a server, there is no sign-up, and you can use the tool with lists of hundreds of tags without any usage limit.

How to convert hashtags to keywords and back

  1. Paste your list in the field above: hashtags separated by spaces (#blender #3d #render) or keywords separated by commas or line breaks.
  2. Click “Hashtags → keywords” if your input has the hash sign, or “Keywords → hashtags” if it has plain words.
  3. Check the result, which is normalized automatically: no repeated hash signs, no double commas and no leftover spaces.
  4. Click “Copy” and paste it wherever you need it: the video description, the caption, the tag field or your keyword document.

Examples and use cases

  • Hashtags to keywords: “#3ddesign #blender #render” becomes “3ddesign, blender, render”, the way keywords are listed in an SEO brief.
  • Keywords to hashtags: “blender, 3d modeling, render” becomes “#blender #3dmodeling #render”, joining the words of each term because a hashtag cannot contain spaces.
  • YouTube: the description and the tag field in Creator Studio ask for different formats; you convert once and paste in both places.
  • Instagram and TikTok: the caption written with keywords and the tags at the end of the post in hashtag format.
  • Content spreadsheets: if your editorial calendar stores comma separated keywords, you convert the whole row to hashtags right before publishing.

Which characters are stripped when converting

Hashtags only allow letters, numbers and underscores, so the tool removes dots, hyphens, inner commas, emojis and punctuation. Accented letters and ñ are preserved, as is the original case of each word: if you wrote “Blender” it does not become “blender” unless you ask for it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my list stored on a server?

No. The conversion runs with JavaScript in your browser and no request carries your text, so you can paste client lists or private keywords safely.

How many hashtags can I convert at once?

There is no limit of the tool itself: it processes whatever fits in the text field, from 5 tags to several hundred.

Does it work for LinkedIn, X or Pinterest?

Yes. Any platform that uses hash-prefixed tags or comma separated term lists accepts the output: LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Mastodon, YouTube or your own blog.
